Stolen truck found in Belfast depot

A truck hijacked in Groblersdal has been recovered and loaded with stolen goods at a
depot in Belfast. Acting on a tip, police located the stolen double-trailer truck filled with
wood at the Belfast facility early Tuesday morning.

The truck matched the description of one hijacked the previous day in Groblersdal
according to the owner, who identified the recovered vehicle. It was still fully loaded
when police arrived at the depot.

Teams from the Middelburg Flying Squad, K9 Unit and Belfast SAPS had swiftly
responded after receiving a report of the Groblersdal hijacking. Their investigation led
them to the Belfast truck depot where the intact truck was found.

No arrests have been made yet in the hijacking. Mpumalanga Police Commissioner Lt.
Gen. Semakaleng Manamela applauded the cooperation between multiple police units
that ensured the swift recovery of the stolen property.

With suspects still at large, police urge anyone with information that could help locate
the hijackers to contact CrimeStop at 08600 10111. Callers may remain anonymous.

The truck carrying a full load of wood will now be returned to its rightful owner. But
police caution the hijacking investigation remains ongoing until those responsible are
brought to justice.
