A brutal attack on a Siyabuswa tavern left 4 dead and multiple injured after armed assailants opened fire Sunday night. Around 9 PM, several gunmen stormed the liquor outlet on R573 Road in Kgobokwane, indiscriminately shooting patrons.
3 victims died on scene while a 4th later succumbed to wounds at the hospital. Police currently have several counts of murder and attempted murder under investigation as more wounded are identified.
“I strongly condemn this heinous shooting,” stated Provincial Police Commissioner Lt. Gen. Semakaleng Daphney Manamela. She assembled an expert team to find the perpetrators.
The motive remains unclear. Citizens with any information that could identify the killers are urged to contact Crime Stop or MYSAPSAPP immediately. Tips can be shared anonymously.
Authorities are working tirelessly for answers and justice.
