One of Four Additional Suspects in Lieutenant Colonel Pretorius Murder Case Granted Bail

The four additional suspects linked to the murder of Lieutenant Colonel Piet Pretorius, commander of the Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit, appeared once again before the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on March 28.

During this third court appearance, 37-year-old Phetheni Samaria Duba was granted bail set at R10,000.

As part of her bail conditions, Duba is required to report to the Ermelo Police Station twice a week. She has also been prohibited from leaving the Gert Sibande District without prior written permission from the investigating officer and was ordered to surrender her passport to the authorities.

The case continues to draw public interest as investigations into the high-profile murder of Lt. Col. Pretorius progress. Further court proceedings and updates are expected in the coming weeks.
