NEW CONTRACTOR APPOINTED TO RESUME MAPULANENG HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION

Construction work at the long-awaited New Mapulaneng Hospital is expected to resume following the appointment of a new contractor for Phase 3A of the project.
The Mpumalanga Department of Health introduced the newly appointed contractor to representatives of Bushbuckridge Local Municipality, the local traditional council and the project team.
The appointment comes after the previous contractor was liquidated, resulting in the termination of its contract and disrupting progress on the hospital project.

The appointment of a new contractor is expected to pave the way for construction to continue, bringing the long-awaited healthcare facility closer to completion.
Once completed, the hospital is expected to improve access to public healthcare services for communities in Bushbuckridge and surrounding areas, reducing the burden on existing health facilities.
The resumption of construction marks an important step towards advancing the project and addressing the healthcare needs of local residents.
