2027 TVET COLLEGE APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

Young South Africans planning to further their studies in 2027 are encouraged to apply for places at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges.

The Department of Higher Education and Training has urged prospective students to use the September 2026 application window rather than waiting until January. Applications for the 2027 academic year are currently open at a number of TVET colleges, with 30 September 2026 an important closing date for the current application window.

Applicants can use their previous-year results when applying and are encouraged to research available programmes, including vocational and occupational courses, before making their choices.
