March 8, 2026Two Arrested Over Booster Station Robbery
Two suspects aged between 27 and 43 have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a municipal booster station in Boikhutso, according to Bushbuckridge police.
The arrest follows an armed robbery that took place on 28 February 2026 at the booster station, where suspects allegedly threatened a security guard with a firearm before stealing sports lights and other equipment belonging to the company operating at the facility.
Bushbuckridge SAPS spokesperson said police launched an investigation soon after the incident and followed up on information that led them to the suspects’ residences in Boikhutso.
Upon arrival at the premises, officers reportedly noticed two white Volkswagen Citi Golf vehicles bearing identical registration numbers, which raised suspicion.

Police then conducted a thorough search of the property and recovered three tampered vehicle engines as well as additional equipment believed to be linked to criminal activity.
The suspects were unable to provide proof of ownership for the recovered items and were immediately arrested. They have been charged with possession of suspected stolen property and business burglary, and are also being linked to the booster station robbery.
The two suspects are expected to appear before the Bushbuckridge Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 9 March 2026.
