On 29 May 2025, a violent robbery unfolded at a fuel station in Greylingstad, Mpumalanga, resulting in the tragic death of a security guard. At approximately 01:15 AM, a group of about 15 heavily armed suspects, wearing masks and gloves, stormed the premises, holding employees at gunpoint.
