Background
The project, announced in the 2023 State of the Nation Address, aims to construct 96 bridges in the 2023/2024 financial year, with collaborative efforts from the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure and the South African Defence Force. The initiative is already underway in multiple provinces and is contributing to improved living conditions and mobility in rural areas.
This visit underscores the government’s commitment to community-focused development and its dedication to delivering on infrastructure promises.
