HELP UNITE SIPHESIHLE MABASO (13) AND MAPHAMU MFANA SHUNGUBE (68) WITH THEIR FAMILIES

Police in Schoemansdal are appealing to the public for assistance in locating Siphesihle Mabaso (13) and Maphamu Mfana Shungube (68) to reunite them with their families.

Siphesihle Mabaso was reported missing on 15 September 2024 after disappearing on 07 September 2024. She was last seen leaving home to celebrate the start of spring, but she never returned. Her family is unable to describe the clothes she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

Maphamu Mfana Shungube (68) has been missing since 11 September 2024. His brother last saw him at about 04:00 that morning, before leaving for work. Later, his son noticed his uncle was missing when he attempted to give him medication. Shungube, a mental health patient originally from the Kingdom of Eswatini, was last seen at home. No one witnessed his departure, and there is no description of the clothes he was wearing.

The police are urging anyone with information that may assist in locating these individuals to contact Sergeant Vusi Bhiya of Schoemansdal SAPS at 076 412 3745 or call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. Information can also be submitted via the MYSAPSAPP, and all details will be handled confidentially. Callers can remain anonymous.
