Mystery and intrigue struck the small town of Mbuzini this week when a human skull
was discovered next to the local graveyard. As reported on Tuesday, the chilling find
was made near railway tracks close to the Hhoyi Trust burial ground.

Police spokesperson Colonel Donald Mdhluli described the shocking scene. “While
police were on duty, they received word from the community about a human skull found
on the ground at Hhoyi Trust. When officers arrived, the skull was there.”

With other officials called to investigate, an inquest case has been opened to uncover
the identity of the deceased. But police are struggling to put together the puzzle pieces
and learn how the skull wound up abandoned next to the graveyard.

“We are working hard to find answers,” said Mdhluli, appealing to the public for any
information that could break the case. Tips can be reported anonymously to help
authorities give a name to the unknown remains.

As goosebumps continue in Mbuzini over the mysterious skull, police hope community
assistance will close the book on this eerie graveyard tale. The sooner the victim is
identified, the sooner their family can find a sense of closure.
