The Mpumalanga Division of the High Court in Mbombela has granted Mbombela traffic
cop accused of being involved in a botched cash-in-transit heist Khanyisile Mbuyane
bail.

This is after the accused appealed the Magistrates’ decision to deny her bail.

The High Court set aside the Magistrate Court’s decision and substituted it with the
following:
Bail with the amount of 5000 was granted on the following conditions:
That she shall attend all court appearances until the finalisation of the trial and she shall
not contact, interfere or intimidate the state witnesses.

Nyalunga’s case was postponed to 27 September 2023 for further investigation. She is
expected to appear before the White River Magistrates’ Court Court.
