March 25, 2024Advisory team visits Mpumalanga for mental health
The Ministerial Advisory Committee on Mental Health visited the Mpumalanga
Department of Health today, led by Chairperson Prof. S. Rataemane. The goal was to
assess the province’s mental health care provision and offer support.
Mpumalanga Health MEC Sasekani Manzini welcomed the team, stating, “You are all
welcome, and we believe your input will go a long way in improving the well-being of
mental health care users in the province.”
Prof. Rataemane highlighted the visit’s purpose: “We aim to support and advise where
there are challenges to improve mental health care in the province and share our
assessment with the Minister of Health.”
