On Monday duo Thokozani Sunnyboy Mathebula (45), Bafeletse Chiloane (51) together with their company called Thokothoko  Boven 143 (Pty)Ltd,  appeared before Nelspruit Magistrate Court.

This comes after they were arrested by the Hawks for fraud, Contravention of Section 235(1)(d) of the Tax Administration Act and Contravention of Section 6 of POCA read with Section 1 and 8..

It is alleged that during 2015/2016 tax year, the two accused submitted fraudulent tax returns to SARS, where in return, SARS paid an amount of R995 113.30 into the companies bank account.

The accused were released on R5000.00 bail each and the matter was postponed to 08 February 2024 for the matter to be transferred to the Specialised Commercial Crime Court.
