over 28 babies born on New Year in Mpumalanga

MEC for Health Sasekani Manzini celebrated 28 newborn babies delivered on January 1st at hospitals across Mpumalanga province. During a visit to Themba Hospital in Kabokweni, the MEC congratulated mothers and hospital staff. She emphasized the importance of prenatal care for healthy births, urging continued clinic visits and checkups. 

“We are delighted to announce that our first baby was delivered at Matikwana Hospital at 00h07.”

Manzini wished everyone a happy new year, thanking midwives, doctors, and healthcare workers. “Currently, there is no stillbirth reported throughout the province, this attests to the fact that the provision of Prenatal care is vital resulting in having healthier babies and lowering many risks that can lead to health problems, so I urge everyone to continue visiting clinics for Healthcare services, primary health care remain accessible, effective and efficient for all, please continue to have regular health check-ups it is vital for the health of everyone,” Manzini added

Mothers received baby gift packages to mark the New Year’s arrivals. She further announced the purpose of the visit which was to celebrate new year born babies with their mothers.

The visitation was also graced by the Hospital’s board members led by the Chairperson Prof JV Mdluli and Apostle Negros Manana.
