“Our Children Are Under Attack”: Police Hunt Predators Targeting Young Girls

A shocking series of rape and abductions has the community of Vosman on high alert, with police urgently seeking information to catch the perpetrators. At least five girls between ages 7 and 13 have been victimized over the past eight months.

“Our children are under attack,” said grief-stricken mother Maggie Davis, whose young daughter was recently assaulted. “They go out to play, and don’t come home the same.”

The latest incident involved a 12-year-old girl lured from a neighbourhood park and later found traumatized. Police believe they may be dealing with a pedophilic suspect or possibly multiple predators in what they called “complex investigations.”

“We have extracted identity kits and are vigorously following up on all leads,” said Sgt. Nelson Ndimande, who made an emotional plea for people to study the kits closely. “If you know or see someone matching these images, call us immediately. We need to get these dangerous individuals off our streets.”

Provincial Police Commissioner Lt. Gen. Semakaleng Daphney Manamela urged restraint, asking the community to share information with authorities instead of taking vigilante actions. She acknowledged feelings were running high but vowed police would pour all possible resources into solving the cases quickly.

In the meantime, officials advise hypervigilance, with children always monitored closely. “Until we have the perpetrator or perpetrators in custody, no child is safe,” Ndimande warned. He asked anyone with information related to the investigations to call 071-331-5017 or Crime Stop at 086-001-0111.
