After revealing yesterday that they had acquired Brazilian attacker Lucas Ribeiro Costa from SK
Beveren on a five-year agreement, Mamelodi Sundowns have now officially announced their third
signing.

Downs is expanding its offensive options with the addition of Costa, 24, along with Lesiba Nku and
Junior Mendieta.

The left-footed forward was one of the top performers in the Challenger Pro League last season with
11 goals and eight assists, which drew the attention of the team’s technical staff. He can play up
front or on either wing.

Costa spent the final two seasons of his four-year football career at SK Beveren in Belgium. He
mostly made appearances in the second tier.

Costa began his professional career in Brazil with Pinheiros-SC and also played for Valenciennes FC in
Ligue 2.
