South Africa has become a hub for ‘triple A-grade’ counterfeits – reproductions of luxury items that
are difficult to tell apart from the real thing. So, how do you tell the difference between a genuine
and a forgery?

Here are some of the red flags:
 If you’re paying anything below retail price.
 No website or physical address

• When you have to send a direct message (DM) for price.
   Waiting lists
• A number of counterfeiters will tell buyers that they must wait two or three weeks. However, this is
  due to the fact that they are importing things from China on order rather than from Chanel, as
  purchasers are promised.
