May 26, 2023Two house robbers have been sentenced for their alleged crimes

Two accused, Thulane Skosana and Thulani Skhosana were convicted this week on 24
May 2023 and were convicted and sentenced.
According to reports, on May 14, 2015, the accused robbed a home in Embalenhle and
made off with R5,000 as well as many cell phones. Once more, on July 24, 2015, it was
alleged that three unidentified criminals forced open the door and took the complainant’s
9mm Norinco gun while he was asleep.
On September 6, 2015, the accused were involved in an altercation in Secunda that left
the victim fatally wounded. They were later arrested for murder, house robberies,
attempted murder, and armed robberies and their bail was successfully opposed thus
they remained in custody following their court appearances until the cases were final.
They were found guilty on 24 May 2023.
Thulane Skosana was sentenced to fifteen years imprisonment for murder, five years
imprisonment for attempted murder, five years imprisonment, 10 years for house
robbery, ten years imprisonment and two for pointing of firearm imprisonment whilst his
accomplice Thulani Skosana was sentenced to ten years imprisonment for house
robbery.
