The Premier, Ms Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane, as well as the MECs for Finance, Economic
Development, and Tourism, Mpumi Hlophe, Cain Chunda, and Herman Vilakazi, acting
CEO of the MTPA, and Ntwanano Mtungwa, executive manager of tourism for the
MTPA, are in attendance at the German IMEX, one of the top trade events for business
travel worldwide.

This conference has attracted over 9,000 participants representing the tourism value
chain from across 70 countries.

In order to expand direct flights to Mpumalanga from important tourist destinations
including China, Germany, and France, the Premier and her entourage will hold
discussions with officials from major commercial aviation firms.

They will also use this excursion to emphasise the fact that Mpumalanga is a safe
tourist destination.
