Mpumalanga Budding TV presenter

Nicolette Mashile is a 27 year old vibrant young lady who joined the GauTV station as the host of their flagship programme, Assertiveness. The youth talk show sees Nicolette engage with guests on a wide variety of topics that are relevant and applicable to their day-to-day experiences.

The Mpumalanga born native studied Social Studies and Communication at the Rhodes University in Grahamstown and holds an honours degree in Integrated Communication from the University of South Africa. Her curiosity in studying how humans communicate paved the way for a successful career as well as the TV talk show which she currently hosts.

She has her sights set on making Assertiveness the biggest youth focused show in the country and on hosting a radio show to further expand on the interesting and thought-provoking conversations discussed on the show.

To achieve this goal, she enrolled for the TV presenting programme at On Cue Communications where she learnt all critical skills to successfully host a television show such as presenting styles, ad-libbing as well as interview skills.

This clearly translates on screen when watching the show as she oozes confidence and easily lets her bubbly personality shine through. It is also this bubbly personality that has seen her add event MCing to her arsenal of skills.

Nicolette also owns an activations and promotions agency, aptly titled Bunch of Winnaz which services a number of blue chip clients. Nicolette aims on growing Bunch of Winnaz to the point where they can award deserving students with bursaries to complete their studies in higher learning institutions in South Africa.

Some of Nicolette’s passions include traveling and hosting friends at her home. During her down time she enjoys reading a good book and is constantly looking to expand her knowledge by asking pertinent questions about the world we live in.
